Expanded Covid-19 booster recommendations; that didn't take long!

TLDR; all vaccinated individuals will be eligible for a booster dose this fall.

As anticipated, the recommendation for booster vaccinations has been expanded. Today, the Department of Health and Human Services announced that they plan to include all individuals who received the second dose of an mRNA vaccine more than 8 months ago.

The current recommendation is that each person receives a third dose of the same vaccine they originally received (Pfizer or Moderna). 

We currently have Moderna vaccine doses available and will be contacting patients to offer booster dose appointments as the eight-month interval approaches.

We have requested vaccine doses of the Pfizer vaccine and will contact patients when this is available.
